The Walkatjurra Art Project is a strongly focused cultural expression activity.
The northern Goldfields have a number of disparate Aboriginal artists working in the community. These artists lack institutional support, training in technique and preparation of artworks.
The Cultural Centre works with artists in the community to develop their work, market and sell their work. In so doing Walkatjurra will work in partnership with local government agencies, government departments, businesses and community organisations to develop a fledgling Aboriginal arts industry in the Goldfields.
